Nestled within the dense forests of the Western Ghats, this single-family retreat is designed as a minimalist sanctuary beside a flowing stream. Composed of two distinct pavilions formed from high-cube shipping containers, the house separates private and public functions while maintaining a strong dialogue with nature. An outdoor courtyard staircase connects the volumes, enhancing spatial continuity. The private block floats above the water on V-shaped columns and natural rock, creating a semi-open deck that immerses residents in the landscape. The design harmoniously blends architecture with its environment, offering a tranquil and restorative escape.
